The BOEN Cherry American Andante 3-Strip Engineered Flooring, Live Matt Lacquer, 215x3x14 Mm is part of our BOEN Cherry Prime flooring collection, adding a natural touch to every environment. This 215 mm wide flooring plank comes with 3.5 mm top layer and Click joint system.

Cherry Flooring

Cherry wood is hardwood, known for making durable furniture and flooring products. It gives a great smooth finishing with a light pink-brown to reddish-brown look. Cherry timber is hard and heavy wood. Due to its durability, resistance to decay and warm appearance, it is suitable for interior applications like wooden floors, cabinets and wall panelling.

Hardwood Wearable Layer

This engineered flooring product comes with 3 mm real wood top layer, which provides sufficient depth for renovating your floors at least once after installation.

Multi-Strip Plank Appearance

Each plank of this flooring product comprises of 3 pieces of timber joined together. This creates a straight line parquet-style resemblance, which offers abundance of character and is ideal budget timber flooring product. Narrow flooring pieces are good for smaller rooms, but this type of flooring is compatible with any room size.

Live Matt Lacquered Finish

This 6 layer Live Matt sealing with a very low gloss level makes the lacquered surface look “as oiled”. A natural look combined with the advantages of a scratch-resistant finish, supplied by the swedish leader in wood floor finishes - Bona.

Andante - BOEN's Timber Grading Explained

Unlike other manufacturers of flooring, which use 3 grades in the selection of timber for wooden products (Prime, Natural and Rustic), BOEN has a more diverse classification. Andante is a grade used by Boen for wooden floors with longer grain pattern, minor colour variation and small knots. This would be classified as Prime or Select grade by some other manufacturers of flooring.

Installation - BOEN 5G Click

BOEN's 14 mm wood flooring range offers 5G Click system for rapid installtion. They are easy to install, designed for floating installations over concrete or timber subfloors. The 5G Click from BOEN is safest choice for underfloor heating systems (UFH) and although does not require use of any flooring adhesive, it is suitable for gluing to the subfloor as well.

Please note, when click system planks join together they create their own plain and level, which when floated over uneven subfloor may cause bouncing. Therefore some subfloor prep may be required prior to considering a click system plank, if there is any concern with level. Failing to address these may cause as well sqeaky noise, coming from the click system after the installation.

Maintenance

Lacquered floors are easy to maintain - they need hoovering and gentle clean once in a while with effcient, lacquerd-friendly cleaner, which does not leave moisture residue. Our best advice for regular cleaning of lacquered floors goes for Bona Spray Mop and Bona Cleaner Refill.
